Advocacy Committee

Meetings Held: bi-monthly

The objectives of the Advocacy Committee are to:

  • Advocate on policy issues related to UNA National goals, UNA-USA Advocacy Agenda Issues, and other topics important to UNA Seattle
  • Maintain contact with elected officials, policy makers, and opinion leaders in order to promote strong and constructive U.S. leadership and participation in the work of the UN
  • Carry out media outreach, respond quickly to news reports and media statements, utilizing all available media resources, especially UN-related television programs and sample press releases
  • Encourage participation by members and others in the UNA E-Action network
